November Glaze Firing

Here are some photos from my most recent firing. In the last firing I tested a new glaze which gave some very interesting results. I had glazed pots in a satin white glaze as usual but it is as if an ingredient in the test glaze changed the atmosphere of the whole pack, it made everything look toasty. I was interested to see if I might be able to recreate this effect again which I believe that it did effect the pack again, I used a couple of little dishes to hold the cherry test glaze and it gave my satin white glaze a pink tinge which looks really great on some pots. The only bowls which I was disappointed to see this colour were the commissioned dog bowls which are still lovely but not in the way I anticipated, they will sell as seconds.
