One of my most recent commissions was to make yet another flower pendant. The first I ever made was a sunflower which was a gift for someone for getting married who loved sunflowers. It becomes more and more daisy like each time I make it. The initial pendant was all sterling silver, I developed the design after this using 9ct gold for the carpels in the centre. The latest is my favourite one yet because I polished the gold balls and the back, taped them up and sandblasted the petals to create a slightly pitted matt effect. The contrast of textures adds a really high quality finish. I have sent all pendants off with snake chains, these seem to be the most popular choice of chain.
As well as the necklace I also hand make the box. (I love folding paper!)
